That's what PC is all about. And it dove tails into the gun debate. Truth, by statistics indicates that gun restrictions = more gun crime. More access to guns = less gun crime. But leftists don't care about stats. It's all for show.

I agree, and I never made that argument. Quote my post if you believe I did.
I was simply reacting to a post by someone who insinuated that there was never a time when blacks were oppressed by a white majority. Surely you don't believe that, correct?

So nothing you needed to be made aware about, apparently, just be happy you were born with less melanin production.

In the current day, absolutely "white privilege" is a generalization. But historically speaking, to deny its existence is naive at best.
Which is why, in the first reply to the OP, I stated I do not believe "white privilege" should be a part of middle/high school education. In college, when classes are far more specialized and students are (hopefully) mature enough to understand the concept of "white privilege" and put it in its proper historical context, I have no problem with it being presented (in fact, I did take a couple classes where it was discussed at some length during my undergrad years, and I found it quite thought-provoking)

not really, for most being Irish in America in the first half of the 19th century or Sicilian (the replacement workers for freedmen in the Sugar fields)in the second half of the 19th both of which fled starvation, wasn't particularly better than being a Black slave or free, the Irish got the dangerous jobs because slaves were too valuable; the ships bringing French "settlers" to Louisiana in the 18th century had higher attrition rates than those of the Slave ships, the privilege of being white was very narrow and has expanded as we have become a nation of plenty, but the pleasure of being Black has also expanded with the welfare state
One could play this privilege game endlessly, were the northern micks that got off the boats to be drafted into the union Army more privileged to fight for Negro freedom and equlity than the slaves that saw no combat?

Actually, if you had even a simple understanding of human history in the US and the world, you would understand that very few people of any race were born to privilege. Until rather recently in human history there were no sigificant groups of people born to privilege.
You take African studies instead of UA and world history?
