The #MantiTeo voicemails sound like that guy on Glee. Not that I watch Glee. You know what? I've said too much.

Any link to the interview?
I don't get Couric's show here for some reason

Ok, has anyone talked about this?
The bit about her coming to see him in Hawaii and no showing doesn't jive with the fact that he now claims he started dating her AFTER she went to the hospital.
I don't see how the no shows in Hawaii are possible because he has also claimed that once she went to the hospital for the car wreck they found her cancer causing her to spend her remaining days bed ridden from chemo.
So... when were the times she flaked out on him in Hawaii?

I am really hopeful a couple of bored anonymous types are hard at work on this.
You can bet your arse there are quite a few people from Anon working on this.

Has anyone discussed this yet? Because it sounds like a complete contradiction of what he said in previous interviews

Just facts, please.
Absolutely the only thing that can confidently be asserted as 'fact' is that a bunch of people have said a bunch of things.
None of the people involved, including ESPN talking heads and the ND AD are completely believable in everything they've said.
All the fun of this puzzle is trying to figure out what has been said that is accidentally true and then gluing those parts together to get a picture. Most of us think we have pictures, but all our pictures are completely different.

because it is a complete contradiction.
Every time he tells a new "version" something else doesn't line up.
I still wanna know how a coma girl can tweetpic her buffalo wings.

what kind of BS is that?
That's like the crap you hear a child fling at a parent when they have been caught doing wrong.
Son did you break this glass?
No dad I didn't do it. (the ball he was throwing to his little brother in the house however...)

What a crock of shite. This tells me he has no remorse for embellishing the story.

I can't wait for Ronaiah to start giving interviews and doing his falsetto woman's voice that Manti was jerking off to every night.

Ok, so he lied but not about anything else. Oh, he lied about something else. Well that is it. Everything else was the truth. Oh, he misled everyone. That is fine it wasn't a lie, it was an omission. Oh, he lied again. I'm sure that was the last lie.
I like Mandel most of the time but damn he has some blinders on this one.

My thing is how did this "help" people? When is Ronaia doing an interview and his girl voice.

I don't know if anyone has seen this or not ( checked back three pages) but I saw this add at the bottom of the page just now.

My only interest in this story is as an illustration of how manipulative the media is. I just watched the Couric interview. I am convinced that it was a pre-arranged whitewash (of course...why else would Te'O have agreed to it?).
While it might have sounded as if Couric were being tough on him, she missed some obvious opportunities to verify---or to demolish---the assertion that Te'O was the "victim." For instance, Te'O said that he had let the mother of one of his friends talk to "Lennay." An even mildy-skilled interviewer would have asked: "What is your friend's name, and may we call his/her mother right now to verify that discussion."
Also, Couric implicitly supported Te'O-as-victim by playing recordings that were "of Lennay." Did Couric do anything to determine how old the recordings were...how do we know that the recordings weren't made after Deadspin broke the story? Why would Te'O have saved messages on his phone from his girlfriend with whom he (allegedly) spoke every day?
As with Bountygategate, some actual journalism could have divulged the truth about this story long ago. Of course, "actual journalism" is not committed very often by corporate media.
