I think he can afford it. 
If that's correct, his agent negotiated a shitty contract. I think most big names are able to keep their favorite wedge or putter when signing a new contract.

Apparently, none of the TV cameras could see it, Martin Kaymer confirmed it was embedded and a fan said it wasn't.
That seems a little arse backwards to believe a fan over another player

Nobody claimed that it wasn't embedded. It was just embedded in a sandy area that does not allow for free relief.
