HERE is one from a guy I dunno but it is a solid draft site with a lotta good scouting reports.
pretty solid overall, momentum building that Jordan looks like a fit for need and value at #15. The higher your draft pick usually the clearer the potential selection is. This could end up like 2009. Before that draft it was 90% gonna be Jenkins or Brian Cushing to me.
1. KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M*
Could also go with Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
2. JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Could also go with Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
3. OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Could also go with Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
4. PHI: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Could also go with Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
5. DET: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Could also go with Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
6. CLE: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia*
Could also go with Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
7. ARI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Could also go with Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
8. BUF: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Could also go with Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State
9. NYJ: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Could also go with Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
10. TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Could also go with Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
11. SD: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Could also go with Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
12. MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Could also go with Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
13. TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Could also go with Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
14. CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Could also go with Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
15. NO: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Could also go with Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU

yes indeed but i find it interesting to see how the draft stock of players rise & sink along the way. In January we had a thread full of people ready to anoit Margus Hunt as the ultimate 1st Rd answer. A month later and he looks like he might be around for the Saints 3rd Rd pick.

The more I think about it, I like the idea of pocking an OT at #15 and grabbing an experienced 3-4 pass rusher in Free Agency. Either that or trade back an collect an extra pick to help fill all the holes and question marks on D
Who Dat!
I really don't think the saints can go wrong here between OT, DT, OLB though. The biggest issue is Loomis' plate full of overcap.

welcome aboard alex
I'm one of the resident draftaholics around here
the magic of combining science, art, and luck is what makes the draft special
as for an OT, such a thing is predicated on one of the top 3 tackles being available at #15. I don't think any others rank well enough to be considered. Leaving the LT spot with no one going into the draft would be very un-Loomis like IMO. He usually gets a warm body that can fill the spot to provide better BPA flexibility on draft day. With someone manning LT then the need factor is diminished and you can go who is on the top of your big board.

NFP 6.0
15. New Orleans Saints: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia, Junior: With Rob Ryan leading the Saints switch to a 34 defense, there is no doubt that he will be looking for explosive, edge pass rushers who can crash off the corner. Jones has the talent to be an ideal fit in Ryan’s defensive scheme assuming his neck passes the Saints’ physical.

drafttek update
THIS could be a possible nightmare scenario with all the 3-4OLBs and NTs gone. If it played out like this one I could see the Saints moving up for a trade with Miami to get Lotulelei.

Looking at that I wouldn't be shocked to see Minter picked up to play next to Lofton. Would shore up the middle vs the run for sure. I think Minter is going to have a nice long NFL career.

draft countdown
Scott Wright is one of the more reputable draftniks out there
Has 2 QBs going before #15. I agree but don't see Geno Smith as a #1 overall
1- Smith
2- Jarvis Jones
3- Lotulelei
4- Joeckel
5- Werner
6- Damontre Moore
7- Barkley
8- Patterson
9- Dion Jordan
10- Warmack
11- Fisher
12- Mingo
13- Milliner
14- Floyd
15 SAINTS Johnathan Hankins
The Saints were one of the leagues biggest disappointments this past season and will be selecting much earlier than anyone could have imagined. New Orleans still has no trouble moving the ball or putting points on the board but stopping others has become a serious issue. In fact, the Saints run and pass defense both ranked among the worst in the league. Needless to say New Orleans has a bunch of holes to plug on that side of the ball and it may just come down to selecting the best defender available. Johnathan Hankins of Ohio St. is an enormous 322 pound space-eater with surprising quickness and athleticism who saw action at both tackle and end for the Buckeyes. Hankins has not only shown the ability to be a dominant force as a run stuffer and is more disruptive in the backfield than his pedestrian sack totals would lead you to believe. Sharrif Floyd of Florida and Sheldon Richardson of Missouri could be options too. Now that they are transitioning to a 3-4 scheme the Saints might also be in the market for a pass rushing outside linebacker such as Dion Jordan of Oregon or Barkevious Mingo of L.S.U. Don’t rule out a cornerback either, especially if Dee Milliner of Alabama is somehow still available. So in other words we've narrowed it down to defensive line, linebacker or secondary. See a trend? Needless to say it will be an upset if New Orleans doesn't go defense early and often, it's just a question of which defender.
-ain't that the truth!
can completely see this scenario
I'm not remembering Loomis ever trading back. Anyone else? If no edge rusher up to #15 picking, if the NT isn't a pressing need, and if LT is covered predraft, then I could see a trade back. Get a 2nd Rder to move back 5-10 and take a player in that tier.

Why do I get the feeling that we Release Harper and draft Kenny Vacarro

cuz it is a perfectly logical and possible scenario?
still much shakeout with this team before draft day...
Left tackle- Bushrod, Brown, a different UFA or this zooms up as a huge need
Nose Tackle- I haven't read anything definitive on this? Some have said Hicks. Some say Bunkley. If neither then this is a literal giant hole
3-4 rush LB- are we good with Wilson & Galette? Is Wilson definitely going outside? A pickup like Shaun Phillips or Victor Butler would alter the landscape.
A restructured deal might be more likely than cut for Harper but gone is not out of the question.

I like Sheldon Richardson.

a great looking 4-3DT but prolly not even on the radar as a 3-4NT

15. New Orleans Saints: Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
The Saints will make the move to a 3-4 defense under Rob Ryan and will quickly try to erase any memories of how the unit performed in 2012. Setting the record for most yards given up in an NFL season, the New Orleans D lacked any pass rushing bite a season ago. I was a big fan of Aldon Smith coming out of college. Jordan reminds me a lot of Smith. I’ve seen him going in the top 10 of some mock drafts. It’s possible. If he slips to 15, New Orleans should pounce.

Mike Detillier
1. Kansas City Chiefs — Luke Joeckel, offensive tackle, Texas A&M
2. Jacksonville Jaguars — Damontre Moore, defensive end, Texas A&M
3. Oakland Raiders — Bjoern Werner, defensive end, Florida State
4. Philadelphia Eagles — Dee Milliner, cornerback, Alabama
5. Detroit Lions — Dion Jordan, defensive end/outside linebacker, Oregon
6. Cleveland Browns — Barkevious Mingo, outside linebacker, LSU
7. Arizona Cardinals — Geno Smith, quarterback, West Virginia
8. Buffalo Bills — Alec Ogletree, inside linebacker, Georgia
9. New York Jets — Jarvis Jones, outside linebacker, Georgia
10. Tennessee Titans — Chance Warmack, offensive guard, Alabama
11. San Diego Chargers — Eric Fisher, offensive tackle, Central Michigan
12. Miami Dolphins — Shariff Floyd, defensive tackle, Florida
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Star Lotulelei, defensive tackle, Utah
14. Carolina Panthers — Sheldon Richardson, defensive tackle, Missouri
15. New Orleans Saints — Ezekial Ansah, outside linebacker, Brigham Young
passing on Vaccaro, Lane Johnson, Hankins
We have been discussing how much project/potential Dion Jordan is. Ansah might have even higher upside but is even more in the project type range. Physically he looks like a better 4-3DE to me as well. Maybe could be but in this scenario I could go for a trade back.
