Sky Italy has reported the two parties agreed to terms. Terms not reported and nothing has been verified or denied at the moment. Seems like the pep saga is close to an end regardless of if he has indeed agreed to terms with bayern.

It's midnight in Europe and the story broke only an hour ago on twitter so we likely won't hear anything else until late tonight or tomorrow.

I see a German version purchase of Rosetta Stone in his near future.

If true, yes I agree. I'm still not convinced it has actually happened yet, the reports said they reached an agreement in NYC while only yesterday his agent was in Munich. Who knows

Anybody else think this could fail miserably? Just not convinced it is a great fit.

They did talk about this on the Football Show this morning. Charlie, who seems to have insider info on Pep, said he wasn't going to move to Manchester. Not for City and not for United. Said he would end up in London or Munich. Either he had really good timing and a really good guess or he knows someone close to Pep.

Bayern is the best fit for Pep and I'm not just saying that as a Bayern fan. That midfield and academy is just what Pep wants.

Barca lifer to Bayern, how is he going to work with their midfield and what not in the short term?

And at least he can talk to Javi Martinez.

Maybe true, but Charlie has more connections in Italy than anywhere. Doesn't Pep have a place in Italy?

This guy says it isn't true... I'll let you decide what his word is worth...

About Guardiola and Bayern: it's categorically NOT TRUE that he's agreed with Bayern. Or with anybody yet

He may be right. I was just passing along what I heard at 8 AM Eastern on a radio show in the USA. I know that Charlie has some connections to SAF because they have him on every now and then. It seems as though he and Pep may talk regularly as well. He was just very insistent that London and Munich led for his services. Said he loves his family and would never make them live in Manchester.

yeah I saw Honigstein retweet that a little while ago, I take it about as seriously as I take Sky Italy I was never convinced and still am not convinced anything has happened. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he ends up at FCB, the leading two names mentioned for coach next year are Pep and Jupp. He originally planned to retire, but now he says he could go one more year. I think it will be either Jupp or Pep. I don't care either way, to be honest

ETa: IDK if his early exit at the other FCB is characteristic of his personality, in the sense that he's a "drifter" or whatever, but I hope the coach after Jupp leaves stays for more than 3/4 seasons. Since Hitzfeld left the first time in 2004 Bayern havent been able to keep a manager for more than a few seasons

Just FWIW, that guy wrote a recent bio on Pep and is about as plugged into Spanish football as any European journalist is in any football league.

If Balague says it isn't true then it isn't true. He was wrong about Rafa though.

Guillaume Balague wrote the most recent and well received biography on Guardiola. If any journalist has insider info on him, it would be Balague.
