I couldn't care less about skin color. The times you are talking about were dominated by skin-color based judgments/politics. We aren't denying those times didn't happen, we just don't want the reverse to become commonplace, that is we don't want skin color and race to have a place in politics.

I, like most people who despise racism, judge people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Making race a big deal because it is the opposite of times before does nothing to help the cause. A colorless society is what we want, not a society where race is deemed significant, regardless if it's in a bad way or not.
