and we didn't back our WAY into a BCS title as the only 2-loss champ by having Les hit a 7-team parlay on the last day of the season, where would our frustration level be as a fanbase?? How many coaches can be scapegoated before Less looks in the mirror? The DRIVEMAN feels that season deodorized a lot of the STINK even though in reality it shouldn't have.

For the love of god, please stop referring to yourself in the 3rd person. You sound like a complete idiot.

In every season there is a team that "backs into" a championship.

everyone below us from a major conference had 2-losses. We didn't back our way in. We won the SEC and won our way in. Backing your way in would be like placing second in the SECW and avoiding having to play any championship game, having the same record as other major conference champions who played tougher schedules and still getting in the game. That's backing in. We didn't back in.

7-team parlay

Missou and WV were the only teams that played or lost.

Missou was the underdog and had already lost to OU once.

One upset in the Backyard Brawl with no Pat White is all that happened for us to move up to #2.

Oh, and LSU winning the SECCG with our backup QB

if around 6 teams hadn't lost in the final 2 weeks in '03 then LSU fans wouldn't still be giving Saban a reach around

So your point is?

What if 2003 didn't happen? that was not without some favorable upsets or controversy.

What if 2011 played out as it should have?

Or 2012 played out a little different and we made a tackle in the last 1:34 of the game

Maybe Miles would have none---or maybe he would have 2 and there would be no "dynasty".

Remember the "Three-Pete Dynasty" cira 2003 2004 2005---sometimes it is just 'spin' but when the cover is peeled back not everything was truely earned or deserving.

Who has been "scapegoated"? Jimbo? GC?

Didn't happen. It took a lot of luck to get in...so did 2003 if you recall. At the end of Championship weekend, LSU was clearly the #2 team in both years...regardless of what went down to get us there.

I don't bad mouth either title. Why would I in a league where BAMA claims titles they never earned?

The "backed" our way into a title argument is dumb. Was 2007 a fluke in college football? Sure. But at the end of the season we were clearly the best team in college football.

The same can be said last year. Was Bama getting into the championship game a fluke? Absolutely. Were they clearly better than us and deserving of the title? Looks like they were.

You realize Alabama has backed into the last two of their titles right?

First off, if LSU doesnt go, another 2 loss team is in. So just stop with this bullshite. We were the best team that year just like bama was last year after backing in. We still went out and won the sec championship on the last weekend. that is not backing in.

Also if we hadnt won in 2007, the fanbase actually may not be as bad. With that win came higher expectations from this program and from the coaching staff.

Agree. This was more unlikely than '07. If I remember correctly, '03 came down to the last game between Hawaii vs ND with Hawaii having to win by a certain point margin to get LSU in the game.

The '07 championship is as credible as any team's.
