I've been having to run a little hot water in the bath to warm it up some. Obviously today wont be an issue but it was earlier this week.

I have an electric blanket that my carbon sits on top of during the winter. Tape the temp control probe to the side of the carbon. Works great.

By taping the probe to the side of the carboy, you are measuring the temp of the carboy......so when the temp of the carboy reaches the temp you set on the johnson controller ....in this case 73.....the fridge kicks on and cools the carboy down to 72. (Posted on 1/10/13 at 9:15 pm to BugAC) Just sat down and came up with my recipe for my french farmhouse. 10.50 lb Pilsner 2.10 lb Munich Malt 0.70 lb Aromatic Malt 0.50 lb Caravienne Malt 0.25 lb Chocolate Wheat Malt 0.16 lb Biscuit Malt 0.05 lb Black Patent Malt 1.50 oz Fuggles [4.50 %] (60 min) Hops 21.6 IBU 0.50 oz Hallertauer [4.80 %] (15 min) Hops 3.8 IBU For yeast I will go with WLP670 American Farmhouse Blend and ferment it at 68.
