Luck of the Fryfish is pretty close. Movies/shows have made me tear up/cry 5 times and Futurama has two of them, which is a testament to how fantastic a show it was (Fryfish, Bark, Grave of Fireflies, and the endings to Six Feet Under and Band of Brothers).

it's sad, but it goes pretty quick and fox then initially flashed the next show promo really quick directly after which kind of killed the moment for me.

You assume he had a great life, got new owners, forgot about you... not knowing that he F%$#ING SAT IN THE SPOT YOU TOLD HIM TO, WAITING FOR YOU FOR OVER A DECADE UNTIL HE HE JUST LAID DOWN AND DIED.
EFF ME now my day is ruined.
