I do it sometimes but realize how much of a douche move it is so I've stopped doing it as much. On a related note, frick those people who drive on the shoulder of the highway during heavy traffic. They piss me off far more than those cutters do.

My phone is abt to die and I'm going to bed so I can't post after this. But it is not illegal, despite any "no through traffic" sign. There's only 4 moving violations you can get on private property (like when cutting through a has station, grocery store, etc) which is DUI, hit and run, vehicular manslaughter, and laying drags. This was told to me by a 22 year Atlanta police veteran.
Now, I will say that was told to me a while ago so things may have changed.

If the idiot in front of me doesn't have the courtesy to use a turn signal and hold me up, I will cut through a parking lot. People that dont run yellow lights or stop short of a right turner should get their licenses revoked. Share the road should be the main rule. I live in ATL and have bumped people with my bumper for going too slow in the left lane.

If I owned a Tank, I would run over people just to get home faster, especially in Baton Rouge
So glad I live in a town of 40k right now. Not a lick of traffic

personalized car tags or cameras aint stopped me before. Make sure you get my tag # when it's parked in my garage and I'm eatin dinner.

I had to do it once when I was taking my daughter to the ER with a cut off fingertip.
Is that okay?
I also went over the speed limit and ran a red light, after I made sure it was clear.

I don't see the big deal.
When I lived by campus if I was getting on Burbank from lee going right, I think I may have taken a right by the red light twice in 4 years. I cut through that Winn Dixie parking lot religiously

It's illegal in La. I had a client ticketed for it, then found at fault for the subsequent accident even though he had been out of the lot for 100 feet, and the other party left the safety of a stop sign. I was pissed.

I don't do it but pass by a place where it happens quite frequently. Majority of the idiots I see doing this usually whip through the parking lot like a bat out of hell with no regard to anyone who walking in the parking lot. Pisses me off.

I do it at one spot, where the cross street never has any cars coming up it, and if I am going to the store on the other side of the light. not frequently though, and only if the light just turned red. in most cases, it is usually slower to do that, but in this case, it saves me 3 minutes

There is one place I do this. It is to avoid a four-way stop where half the people are too dense to understand when their fricking turn is. It's more to avoid getting pissed off than to save time.

Don't know if yall are familiar with thibodaux, but if your coming down 308 and wanna take a left on Jackson. You know its nearly impossible to make that left turn during rush hour. I always cut through that huddle house on the right corner and just head through the intersection from the north side of Jackson.
