+1

Big Cat was a very solid center for the hornets. Very good defender. Didn't he make an all-star team?

Yeah, and tons in the media mocked the decision, but he ended up having a great All Star game.

But he's still not in the same league as TC.

Waitwut

Over their careers or while they were with NOLA?

Chandler had 2 good years here (1 of which was in OKC) and 1 when he was hurt and sucked. And he caught oops from the best PG in the game.

Big Cat had 3 good years in NOLA. I guess it was so long ago that people forget.

Their 3 year averages

TC-
10 PPG
11 rpg
1 BLK
56% ft
60% fg

JM
12 ppg
9 rpg
1 BLK
69% ft
46% fg

Chandler had higher PERs in his good years...

...i think he was a better all-around defender, too...but i'm just basing that on memory. it has been a while

This is huge, and TC was a better defender. TC is also being brought down by his shite year where he was hurt/didn't care/both. I'm mostly thinking of players in their prime seasons. I mean Mashburn was a fairly obvious choice at SF, but he only shot 39% from the field in his second (of only 2) seasons with us. Peja was, probably, a technically more efficient player than he was over his entire career with us, but 02/03 Mashburn was monster.

I know everyone wants to put JM as the 3 but I will put another vote for Peja.

Hell I'll put all in on Peja. I think he hasn't gotten enough props. The guy was a fricking ASSASSIN for us. Come ON.

Thornton barely played. No way is he on this list.

PG-Paul
SG-Peja (he was listed as SG most of his time here)
SF-Mashburn
PF-West
C-Chandler.

The B Team:

PG-Davis
SG-Wesley
SF-Desmond Mason
PF-PJ
C-Magloire

Fair enough. But be honest, would you take his best season as a Hornet over Magloire's? I know it's only about their time as a Hornet, but TC went on to thrive on two more teams, including one without a PG (current Knicks team). Big Cat's production fell off pretty drastically after leaving.

What no Ju Ju?

On a serious note. For reserves what about Pargo and Bonzi. The Great McGregor's Wells Pargo connection.

Chandler altered a lot more shots in the paint and around the rim. The gap between the two isn't that big, though.
