So let me get this straight...

We won. Davis played poorly. Smith played well.

But Monty made the wrong decision?

You see, there was this one time when Cousins came back and had a good game after committing early fouls, therefore Anthony Davis was destined to do it today.

The logic is flawless!!!

Who knows, we could have won the game with Davis in. I'd just rather Davis get the Durant treatment and play big minutes all season and especially in crunch time, even if he is playing poorly. A victory is nice when they have been hard to come by this year, but this season really doesn't mean much when we have almost no chance of being a playoff team.

It's more than one time, it was (and still is) a pretty frequent occurrence with cousins.

This isn't the last game of the season. He will get plenty of minutes.

Sometimes rookies learn almost as much riding the pine.

He picked up his second at 7:15 in the first. Didn't return until 2:42 in the second. Guys play with 2 fouls in the second quarter all the time.

Jason Smith had one defensive rebound, one turnover, and one shot blocked during the first half during his 10 minutes.

Lance Thomas made one shot during his 10 minutes.

Again, the complaint is first half, not second.

Though they were few and far between, Durant had games where he played less than 20 minutes his rookie year.

You are putting way too much emphasis on one game.

Even when he has 0 fouls, he usually doesn't come back in until late in the 2nd quarter.

I hope so, but if going forward Robin Lopez and Jason Smith start to get more minutes it might become detrimental.

He's getting tons of minutes this season. And maybe establishing a winning culture is more important than getting him extra minutes in a game when he's playing poorly.

So now it's not because Smith/Thomas were playing better, but that Monty didn't want to ruin the'first half rotation?

Again, no problem with Davis sitting down the stretch. Other guys were playing better. Sitting him for that long in the first half was dumb.

The complaints about Monty's offense are dumb. However his rotations have always been a little suspect and at times seem to have little rhyme or reason.

Thornton and Wilie Green come to mind immediately.

I only saw as much as you did, but from what others are saying he had the lackadaisical thing going. Davis will only become great if he plays full speed, so Monty should pull him when he's not. There's no reason to encourage bad habits.

Watched the whole game. Lackadaisical line is bullshite.

He was eaten up by Dirk and just wasn't effective. Hard for some here to believe, but sometimes a guy simply doesnt play well. Davis went against a hall of famer and got his hat handed to him. It happens.

He got frustrated and lost his energy. He started standing around a lot and wasn't rotating and just slow all around. One time on offense he just stood out of bounds under the goal and cause a turnover by not moving and expecting ball. His head was out of it after Dirk schooled him.
Maybe lack of confidence.

His rotation has been really bad lately and think it's getting to him. Combine being taught hard lessons on man defense by not being able to stop Dirk the kid was down big time
