In my mind, I'm already there.

well i am assuming the offense will be a dumpster fire again next year.

I can understand why fans feel this way but to keep my sanity, I'm taking a "Miles will get it fixed" approach.

A National Championship expectation is unrealistic. I'm looking for an improved offense with no doubt some growing pains on D. We have our choice of attitude. I was very negative after the CFA game but I'm choosing the other alternative i.e. thinking positive. Give me 10 wins with one of them being a W in Tuscaloosa, and I'll take it.

We have young talented Linebackers for days (got a big commitment from one today actually

that will be great in 2014 or 2015, but we're talking about 2013

We have a couple young DEs that are good pass rushers.

but no speed rushers. they're bigger guys. mingo was the key to the 2011 defense

I dont see how anyone thinks that wont happen again.

we haven't had a mingo in ages and have no replacements on the roster

also, we're losing our defensive QB in reid

We'll be fine chill out

Nobody was overly upset with the young linebackers this year and theyll all be back and better. got some talent on the line and in the secondary dont worry too much

If we dont get the Offense fixed this is going to continue to happen. Im sure Chavis is as frustrated as some of them are.

How do you know this? I dont get how its a ridiculous notion that the Sophmore LBers will play well in 2013 given our recent history with young players

But this isnt the 2011 defense. We played good defensive football before Mingo and well play good defensive football after Mingo

How many teams "have had a mingo"? Hes a freak of nature. We have other defensive ends on the roster that are plenty talented in their own right. They dont have to be Mingo Clones to be successful

We lost our defensive QB in 2010 as well. That really hurt our defense in 2011 i tell ya.

What he is trying to say is that LSU hasn't traditionally had 2 years in a row of losses like this. this years D was already depleted due to injuries, suspensions, and last years defections. This D, while good, gave up over 300 yards passing on a few occasions. This D needed a year to get better but some of them are leaving early so that means the guys behind them are green as hell. The re-loading occurs when you've got studs everywhere and the guys behind them get a chance to play. We are going to have unpoven, but talented young players all over on D and the D is what keeps this team together.

So we havent had a mingo in ages yet have always seemed to field a top D under miles (except 2008). Arent u kind of proving his point?

losing 2/4 starters in the secondary, our only impact LB, and 3/4 starting DL (and our only speed rusher) is going to hurt

Going to be a down year defensively. Offense will have to be more productive.
