Shot with a deer rifle. They took his collar off too. Im guessing he blackes out. Then got up and came home.

Good God, man. What is that sticking out of the little feller? Expected to make a recovery?

Id been out of town for five days and had someone watching him. Got home and found blood everywhere and him laying in the bushes. The missing collar is what gave me the red arse. Someone knew what they were doing

he got shot twice and survived?? wow, thats amazing
im guessing he was in the woods, but i dont know many mastiff deer dogs, guess they probably thought it was a doe as big as they are.
glad he survived!

He weighs 150 lbs. the bullet went under his skin and came out his side. Missed his spine by maybe 1/8th inch.
The on the grazed his head split his head open pretty good. Looks much better with stitches now. I could see his skull

Good lord. I'm sorry to hear that. Wtf is wrong with people. Why shoot an innocent dog, someone's pet? There should be hell to pay.

This is a :csb:, but anyway...
I was once TOLD by the owner of a mastiff to "SHOOT MY DOG!!", and still couldn't do it. Her dog jumped her fence, came into my yard, and attacked my Golden (for the second time). This time, he really did a number on him, split his neck open bad. I finally got him off of my dog, and my stupid dog went after him lol. At that point, her dog got him by the neck again, and (I was holding my pistol), she's standing at the end of my driveway with a .22 telling me to shoot her dog. I couldn't do it.
Long story short, I shot twice next to both dogs who both ran in opposite directions. My dog was effed up bad, but pulled thru. She got rid of her dog that night.
Sorry about your dog. If I couldn't shoot that one back then, then no reasonable person would shoot one for no reason. There's some really fricked up humans in this world...

Too bad he didn't rip the sob's arm off when he took off the collar. Best wishes for a full recovery.
