It's coming I'm sure.
Michelle is a dietary expert and knows what's best for us. Home lunches will likely not provide the needed nutrition for these kids. And since Michelle cares about us so much, she is nice enough to pass strict legislation regarding these kids' diets, because...ya know...being a responsible parent and ensuring your child is healthy is obviously too inconvenient for parents.

My wife works in the Food Service office in our parish. You would not believe the governmental mandates they have to comply with when trying to put together school lunch menus. Since Michelle has stuck her big arse in the program it has gotten much worse. Our high schools have 3 or 4 choices per day (one hot meal, salad, pizza but only 1 slice with mandatory fruit, and maybe a sandwich). Everything must be on wheat bread or brown rice; most coonass kids don't want that. The kicker is they may have several leftover large pans of cooked food that could be used to feed the elderly or poor each day but in order to keep your government funding you have to throw it away.
We have people who would be overjoyed to get a hot meal but our government says it's better to throw food away and let them starve.
Oh and kids can still bring their lunch, but it is discouraged. I'm sure the next step will be inspecting the lunch kids bring and removing the "junk food".
