Because people think UL beating an overrated UF team is the BIGGEST upset in the BCS. UF struggled this year. Who in the hell believed UL would be a 14pt underdog to a down UF team with no offense.

ESPN was talking point spreads, and BSU wasn't the dog that UL was. BSU was actually ranked higher than OU, too either way you slice it, BSU was a lesser dog

They mean by the point spread. Louisville was +14, (which was retarded to anyone that watched Florida's "offense") Utah was around 9, Boise was 6-7.

Actually I think it started at 12.5-13 and went up. I know a guy that got it at 14.5, i had 14. Oh and anyone saying Utah over Bama is just saying that because of the names on the uniform. Bama was was not that great that year, it was a down year for the SEC. Utah was legit.

Im going with this although Boise was big too. It was the fricking pounding that Utah put on Alabama that made that upset big. They beat the shite out of them in every way period.

Bigger game, but not upset. I bet more people thought Boise had a chance to win, than thought Louisville had a chance to win.

Florida beat LSU and Texas A&M and destroyed South Carolina and Florida State. What did Louisville do that compares to that?

People are forgetting that Boise State was ranked higher than Oklahoma. In hindsight, the Sooners lost to an emerging football power, not a weak, outmanned WAC team. What made it such a big deal is the dramatic ending of the game and all the perfectly executed trick plays. If Boise State had won by two touchdowns, that game wouldn't have gotten nearly the hype that it's gotten over the years. Utah might have gotten more hype if they had beaten Alabama in double overtime instead of dismantling them the way they did.

Ohio State vs. Miami was double digits for a championship game. 11 if I recall correctly.

I thought about mentioning that one... but #2 over #1 shouldn't ever be THAT big of an upset. By objective measures, Louisville over Florida is the biggest BCS game upset.

I'm not sure, probably +250 or more, but per VI, 65% of the ML bets were on Florida Vegas cleaned house on that game. Did you watch the game? They were talking about Bridgewater and LSU recruiting him. Chris Brown from smart football tweeted he was gald for TB's future draft prosect he didn't sign with LSU I understand why people would say that, but we did have JR as the #1 pick and I do think with a good year, ZM will be drafted 1-2 round.

you don't have to bet, we know it for a fact. L'ville was +14-15 last night. Boise was +6-7. Less points means people thought they had a better chance to win.

Looking at all the statistics, it really does seem like this was the biggest upset. #21 vs #3, 14 point dog, with no one really giving UL a chance.

God, will you let that go. Yeah, all that Bama talent and they lose to Utah because of one offensive lineman...Utah drilled Bama and Bama was frankly vastly overrated because of name brand and pandering to the SEC. It's like when people say...well, D-Mac was injured when USC beat Arkansas about 150-0. One player doesn't make a team full of supposed SEC studs at every position. It's called being overrated and getting your arse handed to you by a better team. The Big East team last night exposed Florida and Florida's and the SEC's incestual schedule and wins. Beat each other and claim greatness while not beating anyone outside during the regular season. Florida was owned and physically mauled last night...just like Clemson over-powered LSU at the end and wilted their D.

Um, Andre Smith had a huge impact on that Bama team. When he missed the Tulane game earlier that year, Bama really struggled only putting up 172 total yards and didn't even score a single offensive touchdown. Oh and Tulane ended up going 2-10 that year. That's how important Andre Smith was to Bama.
