Mettenberger, stat wise, had one of the best seasons ever for a LSU QB this year

His 352 passing attempts this year are 4th all-time

His 207 completions are 5th all-time

His 2,609 passing yards are 5th

His average of 200.7 passing yards per game is 10th

Which means that LSU has had some real shitty QB production in it's programs history

When Rohan Davey is your gold standard, I wouldn't say "rich QB history" would be an accurate statement.

Incredible that a guy like Matt Mauck is tied for the most TDs in a season (28) with JR. Our QB history is pretty underwhelming

Sadly, I have JR's 06 statline memorized from all the Russell vs Flynn threads

You're so predictable. Pull some more crappy stats to inflate how good this team was this year.

How many of those stats were racked up in close wins against teams we should have steamrolled?

When your two longest tenured coaches are Charlie Mac and Les Miles, you won't have a rich history of QB play. Remember when LSU had Bert Jones and platooned him with someone whose name I can't even remember?

Les Miles is Charlie Mac with better facilities and more revenue. We get 10-3 or 9-4 rather than 8-4 or 7-5.

I feel like a chick that came while getting raped reading these stats, conflicted.
