Every team is horrible, and he is a great coach for ever winning a game with the "talent" that is forced upon him.

laugh, clown, laugh. But 27-0 was a real possibility. When you're shooting for champagne but settle for beer, and don't see the difference, you're missing something pretty important about these levels of quality.
I don't think 23-4 equals beer.

First of all, I can think of two years.
Second, its not good enough to be better than we've ever been. We are NOT as good as we should be.

It's hard to argue that Miles ia a "bad" coach with his record.

However, there are many aspects to being head coach and obviously Miles is better at some of those than others. Hiring an effective OC he has been pretty poor at, making some in game decisions he has been pretty poor at in some games.

Too bad you can't separate those out.

Spekhead is going to be mighty lonely sitting in the new South End zone expansion by himself.

Throw a national championship in that run, and you have some champagne mixed in.

I could tell we weren't going to play well by Miles' attitude during the Bowl press Conferences. He gets cocky and arrogant and thinks we just show up and will dominate. He doesn't do it all the time, but when he gets cute and playful in these media sessions, we usually play poorly. This is three out of the last four Bowl Games, we've sucked Offensively.
I'm like many of you, I think he's a great guy and all, but we have to address our Offense. I'm sorry Kragthorpe got Parkinson's and it's admirable that LSU has kept him on to coach QB's and "kinda" be O-Coordinator, but this is keeping us from reaching levels that we should reach.

He had a wide open WR with second down at 2 on LSU last drive and the ball sailed on him classic choke sorry to offend just what happen. High school average QB could have made that throw.

Wait a week. This board will be swarming with them. I'm not a Miles hater but the problems this year were less personnel related and more coaching related. Even with that weak secondary, we could have won 2 out of the 3 games we ended up losing.

I think this season as a whole does. I mean the quality of offensive play, specifically. And especially whatever passes as an offensive game plan from game to game. Beer. Not champagne.

High School average coach would have handed the ball off twice to the player with 125 yds so that at worst, the clock will run and force Clemson to burn their timeouts.

Yes. Most of season 2012. The final two games of last season leading up to 1/9 - versus Arkansas and the SECCG, specifically. It's kind of amazing you're ok with all that when LSU is clearly over-rated all season long and hardly able to maintain its dropping rankings. And why is LSU struggling? Because the LSU offense is so poorly coached that we have red-zone blues and 9 three and outs, 1 yard of offense in 4th qtr... it amazes me you're ok with all that.
Again, you only refer to a single losing game, so I'll do the same, what happened against West Virginia on the road last year?

13 wins last year with two shitty QBs.

10 wins this year with a slew of freshmen, injuries, WRs who can't catch, and a QB who isn't very good.

I guess it's miles' fault for recruiting those players but I ain't mad. At some point players have to execute.

I do think the offense has to be shaken up. New OC. Regardless of the reasons, the production is terrible and has been for 5 years now.

Wouldn't say he's hurt the program so much as hit his ceiling. Every once in awhile he's gonna bump through, but I don't know if he's got the discipline to do it anything like consistently.

That said, I admire the man, his work ethic, his sincerity, and I think he's one of the top three recruiters in the country. Which means you're going to have to show me the 'sure deal' of who would be better that we could actually get once we threw out a coach this good. Most places would take our position any fricking day.

So while I'm really fricking pissed at him... Till I see a better alternative, and no sorry idiots Saban ain't coming, Geaux Les you magical infuriating monstrosity.

Some of you hide behind the "he won 10 games" bull.

Face it. As an " elite" program, that is mediocre when your recruiting is top quality.

Could it be worse? Yes. But we would fire him then, I hope.

Why can't he see the ridiculous nature of our offense and make changes?

I really like Miles as well but it has become hard to 'reason' everything he does. The treatment of Lee was terrible. The 1/9 gameplan. The terrible coaching jobs in the Bama game and then today.

If weren't 'good enough' then I wouldn't complain but we were capable of winning all these games. Losing today was just tough.
So basically what you're saying is there is no good coach. How do you explain Alabama losing at home to LSU you last year. I mean, they were the eventual national champions and they lost at home.

What happened to Alabama this year vs A&M?

Heck with that, throw in a national championship win! Say it was Saban's team or whatever you want, but most of the complaints here are with Les' coaching ability and he DID coach that season and that game.
