RGIII is awesome for a rookie, but Cam has been the best QB ever in his first 2 years. Thus, I am going to go with Cam.

Being able to sweep the Saints even in the midst of his sophomore slump, that has to count for something, right?

On a player to player game playing comparison I think they are really, really close with a slight edge to Cam. But on a career comparison I'll take the player with a better, proven coach and the mindset to handle success... all day, every day.

Cam played well when all pressure of a winning season was lifted off his superman shoulders.

Dude is one knee injury away from being Dante Culpepper

And one head coach, a receiver or two, a couple lineman, a running back, a defense and a year or two of maturity away from being better than John Elway.

I love all the butthurt Cam caused LSU fans, enough to last a lifetime.

I don't think any player has caused more butthurt

His time as an elite receiver has long since passed. He isn't garbage, but he isn't a number one anymore.

I agree. A good third option, could develop into a number two.

ETA: I'm mostly being facetious in this thread because people have had their minds made up on Cam for a long time. It doesn't matter what he does, he isn't going to change very many minds. People will look for the things that validate their preconceived notions and dismiss the things that evidence anything else.

One thing that is clear.....

Brees and Matt Ryan have a lot in common.

They both will be watching the wild card round in the playoffs. For different reasons obviously

I am a lifelong Saints/LSU fan, and I don't understand why everyone hates on Cam. I think he is a phenomenal player. In my opinion, he is one of the most dangerous players in the league. He plays for a horrible head coach, though Ron is doing well with their D, and Cam is nothing but a big time player. I enjoy watching him play, but I hate that he is in my division.

How many of Urban's signees got killed within three years of signing with Florida vs Chizit's signees at AU?

Yeah, because former players being shot by a random from Montgomery has anything to do with your point..... frick you.

Good luck with that.

I'll take RGIII any day. I think he has a better short term upside and a better future, but Cam isn't a slouch.

He was headed that way fast before Cam got to Carolina and helped resurrect his career.

For a #2 receiver he is average at best.
