I thought it was funny before the final fight, Bane says "Oh, so you've come to die with your city?"
And the line he drops before this "epic" fight is "No! I came back to stop you!"
He might as well have said "Uh uh!"
ETA:
This face makes me laugh.

See this is what I don't get. That plane should not even have existed since it was holding a nuclear bomb. Wouldn't that plane have been severely blown to pieces?

um, Nolan is the only one who made Batman a badass. You think Clooney or Adam West would have fricked Talia up?
Burton's/Keaton Batman was not a pussy, so it has been done before.

Burton's/Keaton Batman lived in a world that was a few steps away from Candy Land.

Neither is an old recluse that locks himself away for eight years because he lost the ugliest love interest in batman film history.

Go back and watch the movie again. That's not why he went into hiding.

No, it wasn't. He had been active for several years after the events of The Dark Knight as evidenced by the nuclear fusion project that went bust three years before the main story begins. He became a recluse right around that same time.

Bruce Wayne was still active @ Wayne Enterprises, but Batman hadn't been seen since Harvey Dent died.

This is true but he did not stop being Batman because Rachel died. He stopped being Batman for reasons related to the death of Harvey Dent.

Spoilers
He stopped being Batman Bc Batman was blamed for Harvey's death in the publics eyes

Agreed. That scene was well done and is the highlight of the film.

I agree, but can no longer keep silent.
MAJOR SPOILERS
Everything that happened was ENTIRELY Bruce Wayne's fault. I fact, for someone as smart as he is supposed to be, I can't believe how incredibly stupid he was.
First, he knew that Selina Kyle got his finger print. Then Bane revealed himself in the stock market attack.
It was obvious to Wayne (or should have been) that it was the work of the League of Shadows. Hell, even Alfred saw it.
Now, the LOS knew exactly who Batman/Bruce Wayne was, and Wayne knew exactly what the LOS ultimate goal for Gotham was.
So, once he realized that the LOS was back, why in the Holy Hell did he not IMMEDIATELY flood the chamber the reactor was in. He admitted more than once that his greatest fear and the reason they never used it was because, in the wrong hands it could be weaponized. So again, if that was what he was afraid of, and the LOS was probably the only group that had the resources to know about it, why not destroy it immediately? Makes no sense.
THEN: How stupid was Talia Al'Goul. She had the detonator the whole time. She had literally millions of chances to blow up the city but didn't. Why?????
I get her initial reasons. But after they found out that Batman escaped The Pit, why wait??? After Batman and the cops sarted fighting back, why wait??? After she stabbed Batman in the back and revealed what her plan was all along, WHY frickING WAIT??? That was even more stupid than Wayne not destroying the damn thing in the foist place.
Seriously, Talia had her F-You to Wayne and could have won all in a split second but she waited. Why?

All Bruce Wayne knew was that Bane had been trained by the League of Shadows. And while Bruce initially didn't believe Alfred's theory the League of Shadows was back, he concluded he would beat Bane in a straight up brawl no matter who was backing him. At that point in the film, Bruce was still under the assumption that Daggett, the corrupt member of the Wayne Board, was backing Bane and his mercenaries. He didn't learn Bane's true intentions until he was fighting him in the sewers. By that time it was too late to flood the reactor.

Movie Villain Cliche 101 but it would have made little sense to the viewer had Miranda stabbed Bruce before immediately pulling out the detonator and blowing the city right then and there.
