How does being born gay work from an evolutionary standpoint?

Gay animals would be eliminated from the gene pool because they would not be able to reproduce. Only with a society that allows the unfit to survive or overpopulation (in nature) are we able to see gay animals/humans. If homosexuality keeps popping up when it should be entirely removed from the gene pool you then know it has to be some small trait.

So you can be born gay, if that trait is expressed strongly.

Reincarnation causes it.
A women who likes men passes away.
In her next life she comes back as a man.
Trapped in a man's body, her feminine spirit still likes men, which creates the gayness.

I covered what people think about when they think "born gay".

Then I covered what it would really mean, genetically.

I guess you could also call it a mutation.

I didn't throw in my usual thought-directing sentences like I do in my sciencey posts. I apologize. Too many topics in one paragraph.

Homosexuality randomly occurs in the straight population. It's not just an isolated segment that would die out on its own.

I work in public schools. I have students who range in age from 3 - 21. I have worked with some 4,5,6 year olds who were gay. They did not know what gay meant but they were.

These were kids with good families and fathers in the home.

Also, in my family there is a very masculine father and son but the little brother is flaming.

Little brother has not hit puberty yet and parents have already taken him to counselling I am interested to see how this turns out.

I'm pretty sure Ann Heche was born gay.

Anne Heche is just cuckoo and Ellen loves turning her out some fresh "first time" lesbians. Knew a couple gay girls back in the day and they say "turning a girl" was a huge turn on and test for them. Women are a different animal. A girl can get drunk and have an "experience" or experiment in college? Guys? No way. It is a horrible double standard and ignorant SOUNDING but true.

Girl mugs down or more with another girl while young or drunk and I'd say 25% shot she is gay and just fighting it. Guy does it? 75% or greater.

Guys are just gay. At the exact time any straight guy started think girls no longer had "cooties", a gay guy starts having those feelings and at that young age has problems. Sad really.

I think they turn gay. I think some might be born a little feminine and feel they aren't accepted and go gay. Not all obviously. I think some want attention an turn gay. I think some get attracted to what they want to be (good looking) and turn gay.

It's all my opinion o course but there are many reasons people turn gay but I don't think anyone is born gay. They might be born with female tendencies but they choose to be gay.

Agree.
Being gay is so 90s.

They're still shrill and whiny about it, but nobody is interested.
