Looking out of my grandparents screen door, eating a chocolate Easter bunny watching my cousins play outside. I was maybe 2.

I was really warm and secure and it was very dark and all of a sudden it was real bright. Then some guy smacked me on the butt and I started to cry. It's been downhill ever since.

My mom doesn't believe me, but I remember being in the hospital at 18 months old (old Lady of the Lake). It is the only time I have ever been in a hospital. I have a short memory of being terrified, screaming my head off.

I was at the St. Jude golf tournament in Memphis. My dad walked off to a different hole, but left me with my mom. Before my mom realized what happened, I followed him all the way to where he was going. My mom was freaking out bc she thought I had gotten kidnapped.

Tigerbru17 has a crazy memory. We would talk about when we were in pre k and he would tell me about what lunchbox I had and crazy shite like that. I'd like him to come in this thread and say his. Probably early as shite

I was about 2, maybe 3. I was having to stay at my fraternal grandparents house (they still had visitation rights) for the weekend. This about a year after my parents were killed for those familiar with other aspects of my past. I was terrified at sleeping in a strange place and especially freaked out because it was dark (I usually had a night light at that age). One of their older kids (he was in his mid-teens) came into the room where I was laying and beat me with the buckle end of his belt for what seemed a forever. The pain when it hit my back was especially bad. I could not see much but remember the buckle was big, like a cowboy buckle and hurt like hell. The beating left me bloody and bruised thus ending me having to ever go there again. That was the last time I saw any of them until my maternal grandmother died when I was 15 and I had to go live with them. I remember other aspects of the visit. Like they did not have chairs at their table but instead had two long benches. Also, they did not have any grass in their front yard. I hated it there.

I remember things from my childhood better than I can remember things from last week. My father is a pastor and we lived in a parsonage across the street from the church and a C-store. I remember the house, church, and store vividly, some of my friends (and first girlfriend, Abby), and some detailed events from that time, including a couple of scary dreams. All of that up to 2 years of age, cause we moved to a different church when I was 2. Nice thread....good trip down memory lane and fun to read other memories too.

Being bathed in the sink. My first string of memories happened about 3 or 4 when I started staying at my Nanny's house. I can remember making toys with a hammer, nails, and scrap wood, climbing trees, and whittling spears. Oh and watching GI Joe and Robotech every afternoon.

Watching my mom cry when we were watching the JFK funeral on the black/white TV. I was 3 at the time. Remember watching The Beatles on TV playing in a stadium, which I believe was Shea Stadium? Remember watching Joe Labruzzo return punts against Rice in Tiger Stadium. The colors on the field are still in my mind. Remember getting a football uniform for Christmas and my dad putting 21 on the helmet for Jerry Snowball as I called him

I can remember going to a Hank Williams Jr and Bon Jovi concert back in the day. This was before I was enrolled in any school. It was at South by Southwest or Austin City Limits Concerts.
