If any recruit is actually that fickle, there are other teams for them. If someone's that anal about the logo, they'll be anal later about other things and could harm team chemistry. You'd hope for players who know there are about 102,505,962 more important things than Toonces.
Hell, I always thought Toonces was the eye in the middle of the field until your post caused me to do a Google image search.

Yo my friend are a ra-tard. If a recruit is going to look at anything its going to be what the actual mascot is, Mike the Tiger is one of the favorite mascots in the country. The recruits dont give a shite about what some of the apparel have on it. Like someone stated before, most of the stuff the athletes wear have the eye of the tiger on it anyway......geeze you must have been bored.

I love how people use the "everybody" hates Toonces argument in order to bolster their own opinion. The vast majority of people not only don't know what "Toonces" is, but furthermore, could give a rat's ass. Is it what I would prefer for a logo? No. Is it worth starting thousands of threads over? No. Does it sway a recruit one way or another? Really? 
Just like the "How do you tell someone not to buy you a Toonces labeled garment for Christmas" thread. Are you kidding? Be damn thankful that they bought your arse anything at all. Smile, say thank you and leave it in your closet if you don't want to wear it.
