My kids are too young right now, but it will certainly be a concern later. Hopefully I raise them to make good choices in life.

Hopefully better than mine.

Yes some do. Then some have good level headed kids that they really dont have to worry about them trying something like this.

I dont have kids so I dont worry about them.

I dont worry about shite like that, I may be proven wrong.

I have a 15 year old, and she is just showing glimpses of a little rebellion. Being female and all, there is only 1.5 mm that seperates normal from going bat shite crazy....but I think she has a good head on her shoulders.

My 3 year old is more likely to go get him a baggy of the ol Blue Brees. He is a live wire...but his 16 month old brother would just beat his arse and go tell his momma.

Sure, you want your kid to make good decisions. But, in the end we all realize you cant be there with them for every waking moment and to one degree or another we all drank this or smoked that ourselves.

I appreciate what ol' gal's trying to do, but she apparently raised an idiot and Darwin's theory of natural selection has a place for everyone...

I hope and pray I dont have to worry about that when my kids get old enough for it. I did some really stupid shite in my teens while hanging out at deer camps and supposedly doing "good ole boy" type stuff. Hope my kids are smarted than me (shouldn't be too hard)

I have had some pretty good talks with mine about stuff like this...

knew a girl growing up that had to take numerous medications for chronic illness. one day at a party... she drank a swig or two of vodka.. reacted very negatively with meds.. -coma, death.... at 15...

family friend's kid .. graduated with honors at the finest HS in LA...ivy league level college... scholarships... freshman year of college... went overboard with acid and designer drugs... now... can't go to bathroom by himself.

what's really funny is this woman is mad at the store.. not here idiot daughter that gave it to her son..

And that is usually the ones having problems like this. "Its not my angels fault."

Nope.... thank God....My son is up for a good time, but that usually means catching stuff on fire, hunting, fishing and building a never ending fort in the woods behind the house

Truth!

I likewise think my 16 y/o wouldn't do this, but I keep an eye out for any strange behavior, as I know they do all sorts of shite behind your back. She tells me about all the other kids who do drugs at her school. She is as disgusted by cigarettes as I am from her mom smoking, so perhaps that will keep her from smoking anything else. I did for me, though I started drinking beer at 14.

It all started this past weekend with a little plastic bag of a product called "Blue Brees." The Denham Springs mom said her 16-year-old son got it as a present and smoked it, which led to a scary night.

Hughes admits her daughter, who is of age, bought the product at a store called Zombieland.

Two things that stuck out to me. I know what happens when someone spits in the air but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I feel PRETTY comfortable in thinking my girls wouldn't be stupid enough to smoke their "gifts".

We've been very lucky to now- they've resisted peer pressure on more than one occasion in which other kids got in trouble for drinking, etc. The other kids were the ones who told the adults ours wasn't involved.

Real weed and other drugs will always be out there. I know plenty of kids who never touched it when I was in HS and a lot more who have only done it once or twice. You raise your kid to avoid the real stuff and they won't have the personality to touch the fake stuff.

Louisiana behind the times, this shite was axed up here last year. Right about the time 'bath salts' were catching publicity.

Lot of things to worry about,

Blue Brees
Drunk driving
any number of things

I'm confident my 12 years old son will make good decisions later in life.

I'm confident my 9 year old son will make bad decisions later in life. Just hope he doesn't make very bad ones.
