Ever have one?
Slice of bread tear 2-3 inch hole in center. Butter one side and place in medium hot non stick skillet. Butter in hole and crack egg. When half cooked flip and cook other side (I butter that side too).
Serve for breakfast , lunch, dinner or must have one snack.
My guilty pleasure is to enjoy a glass of Dutch chocolate milk with mine.

Try a couple of slices of cooked bacon as a base for your dish. That's how I make it.

I always thought of this as white trash food, for some reason. I mean, why not just fry an egg and toast some bread?

have done this many times. We called it chicken in a coup. but, same procedure. for us "egg flipping challenged" people, it actually makes it easier.

try with pumpernickel, or make a grilled cheese and ham with the hole in the sandwich , add the egg, its a full breakfast and good.
