Groban's version is beautiful...but the sound engineer should have dialed back the orchestra a bit to let his voice shine more.

My own favorite is Johnny Mathis's O Holy Night from his '58 Christmas Album. Been listening to that song a lot lately and I'm not even a Christian.

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole:

My family has always put this cd on when we open presents on Christmas morning.

I also like George Winston's version of Carol of the Bells:

O Holy Night has to be the most beautiful Christmas song there is. When sung right, that song can give me chills.

"Adeste Fideles" always reminds me of Midnight Mass as a kid. I cannot sing the entire Latin version any longer. This is a great rendition:

Josh Groban, O Holy Night for the win. I like most Christmas music but his delivery of this song is powerful and one I look forward to every year since I first heard it 2 or 3 years ago.

For the guitarists on the board, this is a dream song for the 12 string. Just sounds stunning !

I put this in another thread, but this one has more traffic.

David Phelps "O Holy Night"

But I really do love the Mariah Carey "All I Want For Christmas is You". I like the YouTube video of her singing it live at Disney several years ago.
