re: FIRE MONTY WILLIAMS

lol @ all the true hate on CP3. Without him this franchise would have moved out of New Orleans years ago. "only team in the league that can't sell out a game unless the Lakers in town"

I remember Paul had a game that year where he went scoreless. SCORELESS! He had other games with 3 or 4 points. Now, he turned it on for the playoffs, but anybody that says he wasnt at least "coasting"(meh) is just wrong. Its just impossible to hold a player of Paul's caliber scoreless

idk Atlanta is pretty pathetic. During the playoffs last year it was only 75% filled.

Atlanta always has a solid record and is playoff bound but are just like the Falcoons.....irrelevant in the playoffs

Yes, I watched every game . There is a difference in struggling through injury and not playing hard. Dude would get shots in his knee at halftime of most games.

How does someone lead the league in steals by not trying? Isn't that a stat that requires effort?

How was he the 6th most efficient in the league if he was hot dogging?

Considering the nagging injury, he had an amazing season.

Scoring points isn't indicative of effort, dude. If he wasn't scoring points he was dishing out 10+ assists

You can look at numbers all you want and he definitely had his moments that season, but anyone who actually watched games when he got outplayed by the likes of Jose Calderon would know why he was hated when he finally bolted

"You can use actual evidence that indicates Paul, coming off a severe injury that saw him play in a brace for 2 months, was one of the very best players in the league, even if he wasn't as awesome he had been.

However, I will judge that year based on my memory of Paul and also using my ability to know exactly how much he was or wasnt hurt.

Meanwhile I will now tell everyone that Gordon is hurt and everyone should give him a chance. Again, incredible mind reading ability."

The guy who turned it on come playoff time and almost single-handedly beat the Lakers was not the same guy who was going scoreless just days before.

Call it what you want, but he certainly wasn't getting healthier come playoff time after a long season. He went from playing AWFUL at the end of the reg season, to 33/14 in game 1 against the Lakers. Then 27/15/13 a few games later.

He has a 28/10/9 game two games before he scored zero. I mean, did he not turn it on for that game? How did he chose which games to play hard in?

Everyone remembers the 5 bad games but not the 18/17, 12/19, 21/15 etc games. Shooting funks happen.

It just seemed like almost all of the good games like that came when we were on national TV and he didn't want to look bad. He'd go off against a team like the Mavs in front of a national audience and then play like shite against the Raptors on CST. It just really seemed like he wasn't giving his all unless the game was on ESPN or TNT.

Explain away performances like that when he could just turn on a switch and play like the league MVP against a better team on national TV. Most people thought he wasn't giving a shite in games like that. Box scores and stats don't always tell the story.

Yeah, and all this supporting evidence coming out about how Gordon is fine with playing here and is ready to get back out on the court really refute all my points, huh?

Paul had one of the greatest 4 year runs in the history of the NBA. Then he got hurt and lost a step. He was/is still playing FANTASTIC basketball. But he will never be like he was preiniury- Hornet, Clipper, Knick or whatever uniform he wears. And that doesn't mean he is tanking.

The guy played through what Gordon is going through- discomfort, loss of strength, anxiety about reiniury- and still managed to be elite. That doesn't happen via tanking.

Wonderful job cherry picking. So Paul had a bad game. Is that now inexcusable? How many games were on national tv that year? What about the other 70?

I can't wait for your posts defending Gordon because he's coming back from injury when he has a bad night shooting.

Yup.

It's a lose lose. Play hurt and your performance gets questioned if you don't play well, sit out and rest and you're a bitch.

Paul played 430+ games in NOLA and people want to dwell on a 5 game stretch

It was the game that I remember most clearly because of how badly he was outplayed by Calderon, who isn't anywhere close to being in the same league as Paul. There were plenty of other games where he seemed to quit but I'm not searching youtube and google for 30 minutes just to please you. If it was a few games then no one would have an issue, but it was enough games for a trend to develop that most posters on here noticed and pointed out. Again, if he was injured the whole time and that is what caused him to suck against shitty teams, then I can't hate him for it.

If he looks passive and only takes a handful of shots when he's the best player on the team and one of the only scoring threats then I'll call him out on it.

So stuff like a new source coming out telling us that Gordon didn't trust our staff because they told him differently from every other doctor he visited, a fact that he took to mean the team was jerking him around to offer him less money, is just coincidental to my posts defending him? I just have some random hard-on for Gordon while for some reason hating the guy who did a lot more for our franchise?

ETA: I don't really hate Paul anymore, but at the time I was pretty pissed about his performances.

It's unfortunate that this thread is anchored because not many people will see how much of a moron you are.
