His options look slim at the moment. What kind of money is he trying to get?

It's too bad the Reds re-signed Ryan Ludwick because Bourn would be a perfect fit for them. Bourn would give them the defensive CF they need after trading away Stubbs and he would add speed to a team that finished the year ranked 14th in the NL in stolen bases.

Nothing to do with a lack of speed. Dusty doesn't like stealing bases.

Reds were never signing Bourn, don't have anywhere near the salary room.

I think he was originally seeking a deal like Upton got. 4 years, 50-55 mil is what I think he'll end up with. Aren't many options though, Seattle is interested, I'm sure we'll see other teams kick the tires as his price comes down.

He'd be a great player in Chicago, although that would block Brett Jackson in CF unless the Cubs consider a position change for Jax.

I would not want Bourn. I do not think that Brett Jackson is the answer in center field either.

Jackson will eventually be a corner outfielder. He played some good defense last year and Sveum has worked with him all winter to completely change his swing. They are confident in his new approach, but we'll see.

I think the opposite is true. His stats don't convey how valuable he is.

The braves would re-sign him in a second if he would take this.

The Dodgers should sign him, then send him to Triple A and convert him into a long reliever. Just to show that we're rich enough to do stuff like that.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman hears that the Rangers are "starting to look into" Michael Bourn.

They already signed a guy that loses a lot of his value if he isn't playing CF. They're not exactly in the financial shape to pay those two 30 million a year.

Eh, I think he will get at least 5/70. I think the Cubs can get a slightly better player for that price.

Brett Jackson will be better than Bourn in a year or two.

Whoever signs Bourn will be getting ripped off regardless of what they pay.

That's what I think he was going to get if the Phillies and Nationals didn't trade for other CF's. If the rangers do get involved or some other team emerges I could see his price getting up there.

I'm not convinced Jackson will ever hit for a high enough average to be better than Bourn. I think he'll be Drew Stubbish.
