Bad Boy Steak Dinner (pics)

prime sirloin. salt n pepper. garlic powder


3 min sear each side


3 min oven each side. rest.


roasted carrots n cauliflower. smothered greens. cotes du rhone.

You could have done only one thing better for us. Cut into that bad boy and let us see the inside. I'd eat that like a Neandrathal in a cave.

Do you not preheat your cast iron? I don't understand how you could do 6 minutes seared, 6 minutes in the oven, and still have it come out like that.

I eat my steaks more blue than rare, but with a preheated skillet I'm searing for maybe 45 seconds to a side and a minute per side in the oven.

Just curious.

The pic you posted where you sliced it made me

Never tried prime sirloin. I usually try a ribeye, never thought about letting it rest and then popping it in the oven for just a few min.
