When are we meeting up for a drink?

Gotta be honest, I can't stand whiskey/bourbon. It makes me feel sick. I've tried a few decent brands, but I haven't ventured out much beyond Maker's. My early college days ruined whiskey for me... how can I fix this?

It's hard to start with straight bourbon if you're trying to convert. Best way would be to mix with ice/water to start. That'll gradually guide your tastebuds toward styles you'll like.
For bourbon haters, I think the easiest ones to start with are Basil Hayden's (very mild, not a ton of body), or if you want to spend a little more, Blanton's....that $50 bourbon got me hooked and I haven't looked back. You'll graduate quickly toward deeper spirits.
Also, don't start out with higher proof stuff...I'd keep it around 90 proof max in the beginning.
Another idea is to start with a bourbon cocktail (old fashioned or sazerac). You'll get the bourbon flavor but covered up a bit by bitters. Then can move toward straight bourbon.

Just left Calandros. Picked up the OBSV and 1792. They had a lot of OESK left but not many OBSV.

Im usually a barrel proof junky but in this case I preferred the 100 proof OBSV.

I already have a bottle of the OESK. Love that stuff. Will have to do a side-by-side tonight.
