I could not agree with that more. I are disappoint. In other news, it makes me not as jealous of his life. Then again he's probably tee'n up Tiger Woods style on the reg so maybe I am.

The Widow’s Offering 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

That's 1/30th of his net worth. That is pretty hefty considering it's coming out of stock, not cash.

At what point has he indicated that he really gave a frick what people thought of him? It really is possible for someone to be generous because they can, and it feels right to rather than hoarding it just so you can say you are worth x amount.

This. Not only that, but his money isn't "stolen" to begin with. They had no way of building the Harvard Connection, and it was a shitty site to begin with. No foresight. Zuckerberg, if anything, made them more rich than they'd have ever been because he was smart enough to realize that The Harvard Connection had no real potential. Facebook, on the other hand, was the perfect storm of exclusivity at a time when Myspace had overstayed its welcome. Being a genius and coming off as an a-hole have been almost synonymous forever.

Eh, it's a lot. When someone donates almost 500 million dollars, it doesn't really matter how much they'll have left over. It's a generous donation.

I'd say donating ~5% of your net worth is a lot.
