The falconer is right there with the bird. It's pretty obvious when you see a person trying to flush game out of brush and then a bird comes screaming down out of the sky for the kill that they're working in tandem.

Well, let's take this Eagle incident for example. We have video of the scene of the crime, but no one followed the eagle to see if any Tom Foolery was going on..to see if there was anyone pulling the strings so to speak.
I don't know how it works with falcons, but I've watched Falcon Crest before, and that falcon covered some pretty far distances. That bird wasn't just right there with his master...his arse was flying for miles. That bird flew all over the damn place.

Correct, but when they hunt it is in tandem. The bird is not miles away it is above waiting to strike. If the bird is making a kill the falconer is nearby. They also get to the bird and prey as quickly as possible because it is important to the bond that the food source comes from the falconer. The bird makes the kill but the falconer feeds the bird.

Apparently its a little known fact, but youtube counters bog down in the 301-315 number if it exceeds that in the first 12-24 hours, then it catches back up. After that, they generally update them pretty regularly.
