Are you allowed to conceal carry at your work?

Just wondering, starting small talk.
I work at a chemical plant, so we cannot carry (or even have it in our vehicles). If you bring one, you must check it at the guard shack, so no one brings them because it is a pain in the arse to check. As for leaving in your car and just not telling them, we have random checks by ATF (or somebody) with dogs, sniffing for gun powder.
I'm not risking a $100k job for a $300 gun.

Ever think about how easy it would be for someone to sneak a weapon into a plant in their truck, park it next to the morning safety meeting and start blasting away?
Scary freaking thought

No one else will be armed. That's even scarier.

But it also much harder to get into a chemical plant (w/o affiliation with the plant)

No guns allowed in our building. They made a point to make sure I was aware of that policy. Lol

Most need a badge. But turnarounds can have thousands of contractors in at one time. All you need is someone having a bad day.

My boss keeps a .357 in his desk and doesn't really mind if we do the same.

I think the contract entrances have metal detectors.

During a usual day of work I work in multiple buildings. Some are posted "no guns", but some are not.
