He's also selling a nice Curado E for the same price.

What pole would y'all suggest for a trout rod with a spinning reel attached. The in-laws gave me a Shimano Sahara 2500 for Christmas, gotta find the right pole. Have a Falcon 7' (coastal series) pole with my Penn (don't remember the number) spinning rod and absolutely love that one. It's just a little too far up there in terms of the price.

Coastals are about $85 right now so I'm guessing you want something a little cheaper. You can't go wrong with an All-Star IMO.

Damn, really? I bought mine from Academy a number of years ago and that puppy was $145 before tax. I think that settles it then, coastal it is.

I just got a curado 300e for Christmas, looking for a rod less than $150. Mostly wade fishing with soft plastics on jig head, topwaters or spoons. I've tried the st. Croix mojo inshore and returned it, the tip was too flimsy for me. Any recommendations?

Yeah I think I paid around $130 for mine a couple years ago.

Sounds like you just didn't have the right setup. I prefer a 7' M or MH with a fast action tip. Eta: those mojo inshores are fine rods

Never fished with one but heard some great things about them. Are they worth it?

I'm not a fan of the split grips, but they're pretty sweet. Eta: my dad has two mojo inshores on Shimano Symetre reels.

I was using 6-12lb line one, it was only one they had at bass pro, I'll take ur advice and look again at a heavier rod. I'm In Mobile now with GF and didn't want to drive back with a rod in her Accord. I liked the Temple Fork 6'6" bait casting rod they have at Bass pro, anyone heard anything about that?

Well there ya go. You definitely need a heavier rod than that.

Here's my new setup but not the rod I'm gonna pair it up with. Decided on going with the Falcon Coastal to save me a little bit of money, plus they stock them at BPS. Chronarch E7 Mint condition for 149.99 on eBay.
