I always thought EOTech was over priced. This interference by politicians with procurement was exactly the thing that gave the AR platform a bad name. The government hasnt learned a damn thing over the past 50 years.

I just can not justify spending the money on eotech when you have an aimpoint that laps it in battery and you can leave it on damn near a whole year for almost the same price, with proven durability.

Hold on mister, let me turn my eotech on real quick then we can start this. Well hold on let me get the brightness correct too. Well shite my batteries are dead, let me change those out too.

What brands and attributes should I be paying close attention to with the upper?

Should I go with a 14.5" barrel then get the flash containing tip to make it 16", or just go with a longer barrel?

I dont think you will notice any difference, so it depends on the uppers available or deals that come up.

How much do you want to spend?

Biggest bang for the buck.

Not too much but I don't want a shite gun either.

Gotta at least find a range man. Give us a ballpark. Want to keep the total under 1k, we may find a PSA or BCM, or a little more gets you a better BCM, little more gives you maybe a Daniel or Noveske if you are lucky. Depends on the deal and a range man

Is that a good price? If so I'm all over it.

I guess 1k but that's not set in stone. If it would be worth it to spend a little more and get a gun that's better (for whatever reason that may be) then let me know why it would be better and I can be coaxed into upping the budget.

No, it's not. .75 a round is high.

But I'm sure there's people out there desperate enough.

I just got fleeced in the other thread for paying .56 a round by comparison

I would suggest getting a 16" barrel. If you get the 14.5" you either have to have the 1.5" flash suppressor permanently attached or do some paper work for the BATF to have a short barreled weapon.

Sammich already answered but I wanted to bring it here:

Daniel Defense DDM4V5LW Complete Upper and Spikes Tactical Zombie edition Lower

Price before AR-mageddon? Price after? Price you'd be willing to pay?

Sammich already answered but I may be purchasing one soon so want several opinions.

TIA
