It doesn't matter. Looking for something other than 5 guys which seems to be the default destination. Trying to change some minds.

New Orleand Food & Spirits on Lee Lane just off Boston Street. Most reliable and consistent in downtown for medium price.

Triple Nickel in Mandeville on Hwy 190 Business is also a hidden gem in this area. Everything they do is exceptional. The RB&R on Mondays are out of this world.

Only place I've dined at in Covington. I liked it. Oysters were good.

Sandwiches/PoBoys: Lola's (my favorite), Bear's, Buster's Place, Chimes, Sweet Daddy's BBQ, DiMartino's for muffalettas - all in Covington if you are looking to stay close.

I wish Cochon Butcher would open up a northshore place - it would crush the competition.

Wife and I had one for lunch today. They also have a pretty damn good chicken salad sandwich.

Sweet Daddy's is good, but it is high as hell.

Matter of fact, all BBQ here is high as hell. Sweet Daddy's, Voo Doo, Abita are the three I frequent. One can't get a lunch and drink under $15.

Vasquez, just down from Buster's Place, same block. Insanely consistent service and food. PoBoys, Sandwiches and even Plate lunches and specials. I cant understand how this place is never mentioned when Covington eats come up.

Good luck, everything else mentioned is all good as well.

Chopped brisket or pork sandwich with 2 sides is 7.95 + 1.75 for a drink. It's about on par with the other places listed price wise. I don't care for their other meats and a sandwich should feature a better bun (grilled or toasted). The lady usually working there is so nice.
