Mass Effect about to be in controversy again?

The facebook page of the guy in the tragedy in Connecticut "likes" Mass Effect. Will media outlets put a spot light on the mindset of gamers again?

I was going to make an "ending of Mass Effect 3" joke but I figure it isn't exactly appropriate. I'm sure some assholes will try to tie videogames to this tragedy, though. Everyone wants something to blame.

And that picture isn't because of ME3 this time.
Apparently that guy, Ryan Lanza, has been posting on his Facebook that it isn't him. Now, that could be a hoax, but if it isn't, that means that he has some amazing tech that allows him to post from beyond the grave.

And he has taken down his Facebook.

Ha wow. that was like 2 seconds ago.
I assume it is best to shut up and wait a couple days before assuming anything.

Thats the shooter's brother, Ryan Lanza. The actual shooter is Adam Lanza.

Mass Effect does a better job of promoting good morals than what most parents don't do.

It is a gay sex simulator. ask the media.

Funny you make the comment about the media finding "someone/something to blame". There is a good thread with an article Marylin Manson wrote on the Poli Board (or maybe OT, can't remember) where he spoke about that when the media tried to criminalize him after the Columbine tragedy. It is long, but an interesting read. I don't agree with all of it, but he has some intriguing points.

Every person of age 30 or younger that shoots somebody will have liked to play an FPS at one point or another.

People are irrational, emotional, and stupid.

Holy hell. That shite is painful to read. I can't believe people are serious about that shite.

a guy who loved this game just shot and killed 25 people based on this game
Really? Seriously? I guess the other millions of people who loved and played the ME series should now all be arrested because we are going to shoot up kids.
Or perhaps this guy was just fricked in the head and the games had nothing to do with it.

Seriously. Blaming ME is like blaming Star Wars.
