Angels now have arguably three of the five best players in the American League on one team.

Trout
Pujols
Hamilton

The thing about Ian Kinsler is he's overrated as all get out
Every season he has played in 130 or more games his average looks like this

.263
.253
.255
.256

Basically in 7 seasons he has only played in 130 or more games 4 times...

Prospects are great, but it is always better to "bridge" them along, than to say "hey, go hit lead off, or in the middle of the lineup" and expect the team not to miss a beat.

Agreed, they're going to be counting on Profar to be one of their key offensive weapons and that isn't really fair to him

But would you give this man a 5 year $125 mil deal at 31 years old? I think it's an unwise deal.

Yes. That's very fair.

The money isn't coming from my wallet, so I don't give a shite.

I just see this as another piece of a terrible constructed puzzle for the Rangers this offseason. They've accomplished nothing, and its probably going to bite them in the arse. Hard.

The good news is that when they tank this season, they can fire Washington and get a real manager.

That's a cool signing and all, but who's gonna pitch for the Angels next year? They lost 3/5 of their staff.

The Rangers made 2 World Series with mediocre pitching. Weaver, Wilson, Hanson are a nice 1-3

Plus the Angels pen is flithy adding Burnett and Madson along with Frieri

I think Ryan is letting his ego get to him this offseason

Plus he's a lead-off hitter (well was a lead-off hitter probably not anymore) who likes to swing for the fences on every AB. He's a great guy to have in if you need a sky high fly ball to the left fielder or SS

Trumbo is the 4th or 5th best hitter on the team. He's basically a Nelson Cruz clone at the plate. He has 61 HR in his 1st 2 MLB seasons

As I've stated quite a few times in this thread, we will see. We will see.

Right.....they won't benefit from that lineup at all

Trumbo can hit bombs, thats about it. Morales, will impress me once he does something outside of his 2009 season.I think "lineup protection" is overrated. Not pointless, but its not gonna turn .800 OPS guys into .900 OPS guys. Trumbo and Morales are both good guys and both could impove, trumbo with age and morales coming back from his injury. All im saying is that Trout, Pujols, and Hamilton are much much more of a big deal then those other two.

LOL at the people saying Kinsler is great or can play CF. He is not near the athlete.

I think they need to get Bourn. I think he would be a good player for them.

Morales is 1 year away from FA. Could be a trade candidate.

Angels telling teams Trumbo not available.

Likely to deal either Morales or Bourjs.
