Doing some horse trading and have a runner coming from Houston, had a couple of questions.

Is Specs on Smith Street the best source to ask him to hit?

Suggestions for beers they get that we don't, aiming more for stouts and porters ('Tis the season). I already have listed Real Ale Coffee Porter (the best coffee beer I've had), and the New Belgium 1554. Is Deep Ellum available in Houston? Oskar Blues? Other?

Specs is not the best at keeping their lists updated on their website, so hoping for some insider info.

yes, unless you're looking for a local limited release. They're usually the first people to sell out of those.

In that case, maybe the Montrose or Gray Kroger.

This is the first year I've had it

It was ok, but I don't think I've ever had a great English Style Dark Ale

Smith street is nice, but they dont have Deep Ellum in Houston, and Saint Arnolds Icon wasnt there Friday
They had a few Karbach Yules left
plenty of Real Ale and Oskar Blues
I managed a pretty decent haul from there last week but nothing I was really hunting for

they say the ICON will be in HEBs by next monday. they screwed up the paper work with Kroger and HEBs.

Where are you guys getting the bombers of Yule Shoot your eye out or Frageele? Is there a site that lists where the beers can be found? KArbach doesn't list that on their site.

What time you gonna be out? I have plans Friday night, but if I can get out of work in time, the happy hour time slot might be doable.

If you still have my digits, text me when you're heading out, or email me if not, and we'll see what we can work out. Then you can go funkin' it up.
