With the amount of bouncing Betty's people lay out, I've considered going to FJ.
Also, is it just me or is it harder to lay down when you hear a Betty go off? Seems like last game I'd avoid so many & now it's just harder to do.

you're right that you'd never had to activate flak jacket. but it does the same thing as the blast shield, which did require you to turn it on. being able to survive a direct hit from a grenade is OP in my book. and the fact that they nerfed the betties in patch 1.04 makes flak jacket even more OP'ed.

any time i switch from my class with lightweight and try to get back to the action i get frustrated bc it takes a few more seconds, which feels like hours

Since I've started playing Dom again, Flak Jacket is an absolute must. I've also switched to grenades/semtex from BB since I get blasted by a dozen of them when I try to cap B
I need a true Dom class tho. I pretty much MSMC with most classes and I need to expand. I may have to take tac insert with my next prestige. IDK yet. Trophy system. So many options

OMA = no aim because always paired with Danger Close
Target Finder= Red diamond around enemy but still have to aim and win gun battle.....
Yeah they are EXACTLY the same.
FWIW i use target finder for Longshot challenges but otherwise Im all iron sight FAL/SMR all the time

Try this if you like the MSMC
MSMC with laser/extended mags or any 2nd attachment, no secondary
Flak Jacket
Scavenger
Perk 3 greed with engineer and tac mask
C4 or semtex
EMP grenade or black hat x1
10/10 slots
You are practically impossible to get off B with equipment or stuns. They can lob grenades all they want and it won't matter. EMP grenades will destroy anything "Red" you see (engineer enemy equipment).
C4 can be detonated a little faster than semtex and can be lobbed over walls. I like it much better than semtex because sometimes you need to get something on B ASAP.
Scavenger refills C4 and EMP/stuns.
This class works well for me to patrol the B flag on domination.
Plug and play your Primary of choice.

thats the point of the whole pick ten thing. You get to choose what's the most important to you. If I want to be able to survive grenades and stuns, then those are the perks I get. I have to sacrifice things like lightweight, hardline, toughness, and ninja and all that stuff to do it.

Dont mind the Target Finder. The most i run into it is on a sbr kill cam. It doesnt fit my style and i just dont like the view.
