The fact that I can go anywhere and enjoy a nice evening out and a walk afterwards, oh wait, he said Baton Rouge....nevermind.

South LA people in general, whether you're in BR or somewhere else.

Everything LSU. That place is incredible.

Family

friends

Campus lakes and surrounding neighborhood

Perkins overpass area

good seafood and LA cooking (relative to not being in LA)

Older, nice neighborhoods

Downtown - don't care what all the haters say. I think it's nice and 3rd street is fun.

Highland road south of LSU

Good weather 10+ months of the year

BR isn't a bad spot to be at all.

No.

It's not the greatest place in the world, and I could certainly list off the problems with crime, cleanliness, and traffic, but I could live in that city the right way with the right people and absolutely love life.

Garden district, few friends live over there and anytime you have a reason to be there you just have to take it all in

Heck, I didn't even grow up there. I have deep family roots in BR but I grew up in places that differ greatly from BR. I still think it's a fine place and could see myself settling down there one day.

Exactly, people on here remind of a bunch of high school kids sometimes, "everything sux maan"
They think its cool to be negative and trash something.

the only 2 places on 3rd Street worth 2 fricks are Roux House and Happy's (kinda). City Bar, Punchers, The Office, Lucy's, and (I'm sure) M Bar are all terrible.

eta: Boudreaux and Thibs.... meh. Its mediocre.
