Johnny Football deserved the Heisman this year. Not so much because of how he played, but the fact that there was no one better. That being said, I predict he will be the first Heisman trophy winner ever, to not even get drafted into the NFL. 70% of his production was on broken plays. He was succesful in the first half of games and then teams figured him out. With a year of footage in the books, all defenses will know how to play him, which is not to blitz, to contain his scamble and stick to coverages in the secondary. He is small, has an average arm and just above average speed. Next year is going to be a rude awakening for him and A&M

I guess 10 games of film wasn't enough for Nick Saban. But with 13 games of film everybody will have Johnny figured out

Go back and watch games. Johnny has a very accurate arm. He didnt beat Bama with his legs.

Try and be rational and not just try and make an argument that fits your desired end results. That's obviously what's happening when some here think he's no good and will be exposed next year, and others think he'll be pro next year. I'm not sure which thought is more insane.

Johnny is a great college QB in a great offensive system. He'll be leading one of the top SEC offenses (likely the best) the next 3 years.

Wow.

Top WR in country passes on opportunity to be a blocking dummy in Les Miles' offense. Color me shocked.

You have to give LSU credit for containing from the begining of the game. I assumed that Saban was too confident to do the same.

JFF did make some great passes this year, and he understands that passing is the part of his game that has to improve the most to make it to the next level.

After every game I assumed that the other team's DC would figure out how to play him, but I was wrong. Hopefully we win against OU and reduce the Big 12 talk. A win for the Ags could be the death knell for OU recruiting.

Against Bama Johnny was up 21 points in the first half, then held on to win. LSU held him to 25 yards rushing and a passer rating of 80. His yardage all comes on broken plays, whether runnning or passing. Look at his stats in the second half all season and then tell me that teams do not figure him out.

I stand corrected. Quinn may have 4 guys if you include him and Fontenot. I was looking at the LSU baseball roster. You obviously included Barbe players currently on the team. I was thinking incoming high school players. I did not know Jarred Foster played at Barbe. I saw Butler play last year and wasn't overly impressed. I do think LSU's baseball recruiting has slipped a bit. I am often surprised by some of the kids offered. Maineiri doesn't always keep those guys in spring. There is a reason South Carolina is the new LSU and it has to be recruiting. Anyway I stand corrected you were right. I think Quinn comes here regardless.

Butler has pitched well in fall practice and makes LSU's pitching staff better!
