So how many times will this study be linked on Facebook by people who believe it, and read by people who will not look further into it and themselves believe it? Hell, how many will not even read the article itself and believe it? Countless.
Unfortunately, this article did the job the sick SOB who decided to post it wanted it to. This is the challenge conservatives face. It's an unwinnable war, is it not? All you have to do is convince the dumb, simple-minded masses. "I'm not watching Fox News because it means I'd have a lower IQ."
That, folks, is how its done. It has everything to do with why Obama is still President, and why Republicans hate the disabled.

As someone who studies psychometrics I call bull shite. When I tried to follow your link to the study directly I was redirected to the huffingtonpost, when I tried to further follow the link I was denied access.

If you ever read a report of a study that connects intelligence (lower or higher) with any political view, or a stand in for political views like watching foxnews, you can safely assume it is bull shite.

Unfortunately I have read several in academic journals that at least have some measure of respect. The difference is usually in the 1-2 iq points range. There are group differences on intelligence but its usually about half a standard deviation at most. The general rule is the difference between groups is less than the difference within groups. Thats how I know this study was horse shite. A full 24 iq points and they didnt indicate which test they used, RAIS, WAIT, SB, or which Journal it was published in, all indicate bull shite.
