I know a girl that named her son Jaxson. They call him Jax. I don't hate it, but wouldn't choose that.

Girl on my facebook has a son named Lawcyn. I think she took the alternate spelling a bit too far

I worked at an elementary school out West and encountered some different names. The population was over 90% white; I learned that "creative" names was a Mormon thing, lots

Everyone names their kids weird names around here, half of them seemed to be named after Norse gods.

That said, I do think those types of names are common among the Great Unwashed, naming a child Emersyn really makes her stand out amongst the Madisyns, Kalons, Jadyns, Jaxons, Quentyns, and Lily'ns in the trailer park.
