I didn't take the A&M win as a big accomplishment until just recently. Our defense played a great game, but as someone already stated, the question is can we contain him for 3!morr years?

So will JFF be the first reigning Heisman winner to play in Tiger Stadium?

Tebow won the Heisman in 2007, but the '08 game was in Gainesville. Couldn't think of anyone else

And at the end of the day they're in the Cotton Bowl with a Heisman winning QB and we're playing in Atlanta on New Year's Eve!

And neither still playing for anything of significance.

Cry some more about bowl namesakes. Not sure if we've heard enough around here lately.

Looking forward to next year when our D will be better too... Maybe JFF will get a few more chances to get it done next year?

and your O will be worse. You lose so much.

Yes, because they have not recruited any replacements

Both of their tackles could come back btw, Mathews for sure doesn't need the money,. I don't know who the replacements are if they leave, but LSU replaced 60% of our OL, in the middle of the season and it was better by the end of the year. The skill positions A&M loses they have as good or maybe better replacements (Trey Williams at RB for example). A&M will be fine.

tech soaked up much of what time they needed to better prepare for us. just saying!

No, they would never have been ready for what they faced because it changed. A&M was moving the ball just fine until Chief switched to a 3-4 D in the middle of the 2nd quarter.

It was one of the best examples of in game adjustments that I've seen in a long time. Hats off to Chief!

Oh, and we will only face Manziel 2 more years. No way he stays 4 years.

All I know is our defense shut him down that day, and I am proud for our defense...

We may only have to face him 1 more year. He redshirted last year.

He won't be leaving early IMO.

He's not really "built" for the NFL size-wise.

First of all we don't know if they will lose either yet, second of all LSU lost a 1st round LT this year and replaced him with a 6 yr Sr with a history of injury that previously played mostly on the interior at G and C. did we "miss a beat" ? I'm sure overall Faulk would have graded out better than Josh D, but the offense total not only did not drop off, but got better and why, because the play of the QB go better. They won't be replacing the T if they both leave with kids from the dorm. They will be fine as long as Manziel plays well.

ETA: The backups to Joeckel and Mathews are: RT Joseph Cheek 6-7 300 RSFr was a 4* on Rivals and Germain Ifedi 6-5 338 a Fr 3*. I think they also have a JUCO guy coming in.

I knew A&M was in line for a top 10 recruiting class but didn't realize that ranking was only based on having 33 commits. Wow. That's a lot of scholarships turning over in one year and has to be about the lowest average rating per commit for A&M vs. any other school ranked near the top 10 recruiting rankings.

I was more worried about A&M next year until you pointed that link out.

Good luck in Arlngton and beat that Sooner arse!
