What does your secondary market story have to do with the long waiting list for season tickets? There literally are hundreds if not thousands waiting to get rights to tickets. Don't be dense.

orly? When my son scored student tickets to all the games, I advertised my tickets for the season, then when that failed, game by game, and of all the many thousands of fans pining for tickets, I struck out except for the UW game and the Bama game, which I sold to a friend. I never asked more than exactly what I had in them. So, the myth that there is this tremendous pent up demand seems to be a bit of an urban legend.
Or maybe your seats suck

There was a huge demand for season tickets last year. Not sure why you had issues.

If chairback seats on the 10 yard line in the East Upper suck, then what are these "last in" buyers of season tickets going to get? Sitting on the top row in the corner with the 17 Towson State fans that came to the game? Face it, LSU is giving us about 3 decent games a year, 2 on the years when they move our only decent OOC game to Atlanta or Jerry's World. It's hard to rationalize paying the price for a whole season package plus all the extra fees when over half the games are against crappy arse teams. Of course, at least with the way Les coaches, even those games end up exciting.

Seems to me like buying season tickets is a huge waste of cash ..just buy the Florida, Texas A&M and Arkansas tickets in the secondary market ....the rest of the home games are shitty, so why buy season tickets ..you will come out way ahead

i'm all about LSU doing the following: on the ticket, it shall state that if your ticket is not scanned by halftime that the rights to your seat are reserved back to the university without at halftime, LSU may sell second half tickets for any available seats at a discounted rate

Another 'look at me thread' No one cares if you have tickets or not. There are hundreds in line to buy your tickets immediately. Give 'em up and quit complaining.
and yet here you are looking at me and replying to my thread. btw, it's not a complaint. it's a financial decision. And a pretty obvious one, as many have pointed out. If it makes sense, I plan to move to cheaper sections, as in sections with fees in the $250-400 range per seat, not $900. At $900, it is a waste of money for what I'd get just buying individual games on the open market. And for the record, I am a big fan of what Bertman and TAF did with improving the revenue situation with football tickets. We were stuck in the past and needed to boot out all the grandfathered face value tickets on the 50 yard line. Our athletic arms race required it. That said, it's now to the point where I'm willing to sacrifice the security of always having the same 2 seats for saving about $2000/year. I sold my USCe pair for over $300 this year, then showed up on game day and had a pair given to me before kickoff. Financial decision-making. Look into it.
