That's true, but Tech is the example this year.
We will get much more press about not being invited than if we would have been invited.

Louisiana Tech did not get screwed. They were invited to a bowl and didn't take it.

Technically, they were not invited to any. They were in discussion with 3, chose 1, had the carpet yanked out from under them at the last second, and then didn't have enough time to accept another one.

Were they not given an offer? Did they try to position themselves into a better bowl at the expense of a sure thing? No reason to say Tech got screwed. Their seniors got screwed but they got screwed by their AD, not the bowl system.

do you not think that if bowl tie-ins were eliminated, that Tech would be in a bowl game? I do. How many other bowls would have rather Tech's offense, but had to offer another school due to tie-ins?
I guess we will never know, but please don't act like the fault is 100% on Tech for this.
