I have seen the single bar face mask on NFL films .. But I do remember the straight on kickers like Mark Moseley, Jim Turner, and Don Cockroft ..

Check out how old Blanda looked when he still played. He was mid 40's I think, looked like he was mid 60's.

My first 2 REALLY STRONG football memories are:
1. The Riggins game in the NFCCG (and of course the SB 4th down run shortly thereafter)
