what? if we have no insurance, then I'd choose her if we have 200k coming our way....then I think she'd be happiest if me and the child were taken care of.

Woman would always choose the kid. It is because they are dumb and irrational Guys would choose the woman because they know that you can always have another baby with the same woman. Either way you are fricked. No wife and a baby, or an extremely emotional wife and no kid

How is this even a dilemma? You pick your wife every single time.

$200k isn't a lot of money. Particularly when you're left to raise a kid alone. I would never place a $$$ value on my spouses wife.

As a heterosexual woman I would never be this situation. However, I would hope it's something my husband and I had discussed prior to this issue and he makes the decision we agreed on.

As the father of two I can tell you that my wife and I never had or even thought about that conversation. However, she had two healthy pregnancies without any complications. Her best friend had a brain aneurism in her last weeks of pregnancy and they kept her alive long enough for the father to say goodbye (he was in Virginia and she was visiting family in NY) and for the baby to be born. Sad situation. She was brain dead so there was really no decision to be made other than to take the baby.

think it'd tax free. Means no mortgage..... so that money can go to your Boat,Motorcycle, and truck notes think about how much fun the kid will have on your boat....hell we can even name the boat after the mother...so she won't be forgotten.

If I was in this situation, I would choose the baby. Two reasons: First, the baby hasn't experienced life yet. Though my wife may be young, she has. In my mind it's the baby's turn to have a shot at it. I realize that others may disagree. That's just how I see it. Secondly, it's been my experience... and only my experience... that women are more replaceable to me than children are.
