Yay a workout thread, are you having shoulder pain on chest workouts with the bar?

Shoulder, traps, leg press day.

Only on flat barbell.

It was my office setup at work that was behind the problem.

I had to stop using any barbell for 6mo. Went to straight dumbbells, the shoulder pain has gone away.

Mon: Chest/Tris (bench)
Tues: Lower (deadlift)
Wed: Shoulders/Traps (military)
Thurs: Lower (back squat)
Fri:Back/Bis (bent over barbell rows)
Sat: P90X Plyometric

I started doing this routine a couple of weeks ago and it has been working pretty good. I will have 1 heavy lift per day (in parenthesis) that i will do a couple of warm up sets then do 5x5 as heavy as possible. I will then do other lifts that day 3-4x8-10 @ moderate weight.

I quit doing low rep sets a number of years back. My joinys hurt to bad, I do 10 rep sets now. I feel better and more motivated to put my 2hrs a day in.

It's why I switched back to low reps. No time to spend 2 hours per day in the gym like the old days.

I'm in the gym for 45 minutes doing heavy weight/low reps.

Cardio later.

I would cut out the extra lifts before i went back to low rep sets. (just my way of doing it) I stick to the meat and potato lifts when I don't have the time.

next week begins my cutting phase. Lower calories, more HIIT between lifting days. Taking it easy this weekend because I'm going to get my arse kicked next week.

btw I had a dream last night that TD got a fitness board

chest and back day

I have no bench in the hotel so I just did a bunch of blowout sets of incline, decline, and flat pushups. Probably going to run a little later on.

yeah, I am trying to start cutting a month early

still eating pretty poorly, but kicking up the intensity and HIIT in the gym

what is your HIIT of choice? sprints?

I'll do my usual full body bodyweight workout sometime this evening. Had a Christmas party last night and intended to work out afterward but I was a lazy POS instead. Have to work out twice more to get in my three days this week. I've averaged 3Xweek for going on eight months now. Hope to keep it up through the holidays.

I managed 4x last week and 3x this week.

I would go tomorrow but I'll be at the course, unless I decide on an early gym visit..
